“Ugh, Dad.” Melly rolled her eyes. “Please, no puns. It’s Christmas.”

“Yeah, it’s Christmas.” Jenna was having the best holiday ever. “That’s not punny, Dad.”

Everyone laughed.

Simon wrapped an arm around Jenna’s shoulders, and she sank into him, feeling the love seeping into her one laugh and smile at a time.

Chapter 26

Piper rested her head on Grant’s chest, both of them breathing hard and still joined as one. She really did love being on top, something about taking charge giving her that extra edge.

“Do you think Cade’s really mad at you?” she asked as he palmed her breast and toyed with her nipple, revving her all over again.

“Nah. He’s happy, just annoyed he found out after we told Jared. Now Jared can one-up him about knowing first. It’s all good.”

She chuckled. “My brother is still a pain.”

“So’s mine.” He pulled her in for a smoldering kiss. “Our first night in our new house in our new bed. What do you think?”

She loved it and told him so. “I still have some ideas about design, but we’re in no rush.”

“Nope.” He hugged her. “I’ve never felt so happy or right about anything as the way I feel about you.”

“Same.”

“You’re still a little nervous, but that’s okay. Piper, we’ll work through next year. With compromise and communication, okay?”

She rolled her eyes. “You’ve only told me that a bazillion times since Elvis married us.”

“Well, I want you know how much I support and respect your career. Mine is just taking a little longer to end before my next life begins.”

She kissed him. “Did you want to wait on babies, then?”

He smiled. “Nope. I’m ready when you are.”

“I was thinking I’d go off the pill in the middle of next season. We’ll do some traveling to make things work, and I can assign some temporary help at the office to take over. But I was thinking I’d spend most of the season with you, if that’s okay.”

“That’s more than okay, Mrs. Piper Weston.” He kissed her back, then pulled her up so he could take her nipple in his mouth. “Oh man, I really want to fuck you.”

“Well, I suppose I should give you the rest of your big present first.”

“Oh?”

She scooted down his body and took his cock in hand. “Just call me Piper the Hoover.”

“Have I told you how much I love you?”

“Tell me again.”

“I love you Piper Hoover.”

“And I love you, West Wind. Now scoot around and show me how great you can blow.”

He laughed, and then he showed her.

The following December, the Pied Piper and the West Wind had twins.

Diana Jane and Cade William, whom they’d call Bill.

Diana for Wonder Woman’s alter ego, Diana Prince.

Cade for Grant’s brother, and Bill for William Moulton Marston, who had created the couple’s favorite super hero.

They considered the names a fitting tribute to the beautiful children they’d been blessed to have. Plus, it made a great story when Grant’s graphic novel released a year to the day that the twins were born, to critical acclaim.

And they all lived happily ever after.
