“Speak, warrior,” Arghet ordered.

Ruak didn’t seem to like his tone. He glared. “Make me.”

“Seriously, could you lower the testosterone?” Skye shook her head.

Raia met her gaze. “Males.”

“I know, right? Look Ruak, we all know we’re lacking. Now how about telling us what you know?” When the Fire tribe barbarian smirked at her, Skye lifted him into the air with a wave of her hand.

He gaped and nodded. Once again on his feet, he gave her a wide smile. “I know Talzec is your mate, but have you ever tried a Fire warrior? We burn much hotter.” He gave Talzec a long onceover. “And for much longer than what you’re probably used to.”

Skye put a hand on her mate’s chest to hold him back.

Talzec glared. “I’d love to show you just how long I can last.”

Raia coughed to cover a laugh. “Yes, well, great Fire warrior. Can you pleased just tell us what you meant?”

Ruak shrugged. “Is it not obvious? You are of the Rock tribe.”

Everyone stared. Arghet shook his head. “There is no Rock tribe.”

“Yes, there is. But they keep to the dark and to the land. They prefer the underground caves in the south, near our people. But they especially like the damp places, where Ussed creeps over rock and washes the land with life. There are not many of them left.” He gave her and Skehl a compassionate look. “Many raided the Rock tribe to take mates. They are prolific and ripe with the Maker’s blessings.” To Raia and Skehl, he bowed his head. “You will have many children. And they will all possess your abilities to commune with Ussed.” To Arghet, he said, with all sincerity, “You must be a great warrior to be so graced. The Rock people remain one of our greatest treasures.”

Arghet smiled. “Yes, I know.” But to Raia, he said, “Let it go. I’m not calling you my queen, my master, or my alpha. Not now, not ever.”Even if I do love you more than the mother moons and father suns combined. And you too, Skehl, I’m not leaving you out, though you’re a literal pain in my ass.

Skehl laughed, and the booming sound encouraged everyone to join in.

Raia smiled, lost in love with her mates. They’d figure out how they’d live, though she planned on learning as much about the Vyctore as she could before searching out other Rock tribe warriors.

But she didn’t know if she’d say Arghet was the lucky one.

Arghet, Skehl, you know I love you two, do you not?

They looked at each, then back at her, and answered wearing the same grin,I know.
