He murmured whispers of passion with every thrust. She panted and pressed her hands to his backside, wanting to feel every inch of his hardness buried deep inside her.
Amelia did not think pleasure could be so exhilarating. Duncan’s groans as he slid inside her proved that he felt the same tingles she did. Nothing else mattered but him.
His warm body clung to hers and made her tremble. He tightened his grip on her fingers and took her lips when she moaned out loud again. Her breath mingled with his as their bodies and souls became one.
Duncan’s slow strokes continued until Amelia orgasmed again. Her walls convulsed around his hardness, and he tipped his head back and let out another groan before thrusting deep inside her one last time.
They tumbled over the edge of maddening passion together, neither of them willing to let go as they clung to each other. Duncan slid to the side of the bed and brought her close, so her body pressed into his.
Amelia was content in his arms, and she knew she would always be.
They were one now, always and forever.
EPILOGUE
Afortnight later was the best day of Amelia’s existence. She was dressed in a traditional wedding dress that ran down to her feet, and Elspeth had gifted her a clan brooch that pinned the arisaid in place. Her heart was full and at peace, her entire body wracked with nervous tingles, and her cheeks widened into a radiant smile.
“You look beautiful,” Lily said to her as they stood in front of the mirror.
Amelia did not care for what she looked like today. The only thought on her mind was Duncan.
“I still cannot believe this is happening. I really did not think I would ever marry.” She laughed as she said the words, and tears filled her eyes. She wiped them away and chuckled again before shaking her head. “This is the best day of my life.”
“It is time, Me Lady,” Dahlia said from the doorway, and Amelia sighed again before running her hands down her dress. Lily held her hand and led her out of the chamber.
“Amelia,” Elspeth called as they walked, and Amelia stopped when she felt the woman’s arms come around her body. They hugged tight, and she heard a light sob from her side.
“Yvaine, is that you?” Amelia asked.
“I am so happy, Amelia,” Yvaine said to her, and they exchanged another warm hug before Amelia kissed her on her cheeks.
It was a perfect day too, and after everything they had been through together, she was hoping that the years to come would be peaceful and happy.
Her father came to them at that moment. “Amelia, my child,” he said, and she went willingly into his arms for a long hug. “Are you happy?”
“I am, Father,” she told him as he stroked her cheeks. “Very much so.”
“Then it is settled.”
He walked her down the stairs and out of the keep towards the meadow where the clan’s people were already gathered. Amelia’s heart rose with joy and love when she finally made it to Duncan.
Arran stood next to Duncan, and he said to Amelia when she got close enough, “Yer the most beautiful bride I have ever seen. Yer perfect for him, Amelia.”
His compliment made Amelia blush, and he took her hand to press a kiss to the back of it briefly before she said, “Thank you, Arran.”
Duncan took her hand next, and as always, his touch was warm, his voice gentle and soothing. “I love ye, Amelia,” he whispered in her ear before leading her forward, so they stood in front of the priest.
Amelia had lots of words she wanted to say to Duncan. Her vow to love him and cherish him for the rest of her life. Her lips curved into a wide smile as she began pouring out her heart in words.
“I vow to spend the rest of my life loving you. I shall be by your side and cherish you… in sickness and in health, through tough times and good times. I love you, Duncan. I will always love you.”
“I love ye,” Duncan whispered back before he leaned down for a kiss that sealed their passion and the promise of their love.
Till death do us part.
The End?
