I shake my head, trying to get my head around it all. “Who is the father?”

“It doesn't matter. I'm not with him. I have to decide what to do, and I have to decide it alone.”

I grab her hand. “No, not alone, you've got us guys. We will help you.”

She looks at me with pain in her eyes. “I have to keep it. I can't...I can't bear the thought of any other option. I thought that when I did have a baby, it would be a hell of a lot different to this – but I'm keeping it.”

“Okay, honey, we’ll all be here for you. I know it will take a while to get used to, but I’ll come with you to your appointments. It will be good, give it some time, and you'll get excited about this.”

She nods, she doesn't look too sure, but she’s going along with it.

“You should tell the father, though, Mia.”

She looks down to the floor, avoiding my gaze, “I don't know who the father is.” She looks shifty. Doesn’t she know by now that I know when she’s lying? She knows who the father is - she just doesn't want to tell me. I can work with that.

I hug her, and we make our way back out to the party.

Dec catches me on the way back out and pulls me to the side of the house. He must see from my face that something is wrong. “What’s the matter?” He asks, a frown on his face.

I shake my head. “Nothing.”

“I know that’s not true. I can see you're worried about something, is it Denny?”

So he’s picked up on the Denny thing, too, interesting.

I sigh. “No, just something going on with Mia.”

He waits for me to continue. “Something I'm going to keep to myself for now. I'll tell you when I can.”

He nods. “Fair enough, babe. So, think we can sneak off to one of the empty rooms here, so I find out something really important?”

I raise an eyebrow. “Oh yeah, what's that?”

He nuzzles into my neck. “Just want to see if your wearing underwear.”

I roll my eyes. “Yes Dec, I am, and no, no way can you get me to sneak off in Robyns parents house. Jesus.”

He laughs. “The way you look in that dress, sexy as fuck, I can't wait to get it off you.”

I squirm a little at his words. The anticipation of tonight already starting to build.

I point down at his whisky. “You better lay off that if you want to perform tonight.”

He winks at me, my stomach flutters. “Don't you worry about my performance tonight.”

He stands closer to me and puts his hands on my hips.

“Dec, I love you so much.”

His eyes warm “I know you do, baby, but I love you more.”

“Wanna fucking bet?” I throw his own words back at him.

We are still as hungry for each other as the day we met, if not more so. Sex with him never gets tired. And the attraction? That gets stronger and stronger.

Weget stronger and stronger, and I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for us because whatever it is, we will be facing it together.
