He nods and then gives me a quick kiss. “I really am. I mean…not to sound too cheesy but…”

“Too late,” I say automatically, making him laugh.

“With Leah moving in, and now you and I figuring out how we fit together…”

I arch my brows, my heart fluttering as his gaze meets mine.

“This house feels like a home now,” he finishes. And my heart swells so fast I think it might burst. All I’m capable of is a nod of understanding as he brushes my hair back off my cheek. “For the first time, it feels like a home.”

“Then we stay,” I say.

“Together,” he adds.

I smile and lean in for another kiss. “Always.”
