I went into his arms, let him wrap me tight the way I loved. ‘What challenge do you have in mind?’

‘My immediate one is to get you back on that yacht. We never got round to fucking on every surface the way I fantasised. But first I’m taking you inside our house and peeling this suit off you. Then I’m going to make you scream.’

I laughed as he swung me into his arms and marched towards the stunning house made of teak and glass. I barely saw the decor, nor did my feet touch the ground.

I was completely lost in the love and magic of Gideon as he skilfully demonstrated how much he’d missed me.

Several hours later, as we stood on the deck of La Sirène, I leaned back against him and basked in the glorious Maui sunset.

‘I want to sail the world with you,’ he murmured. ‘See the world through your eyes.’

‘We will.’

‘I never want to be parted from you. You’re the reason I breathe.’

I fought blissful tears as he wrapped his arms around me.

There were no words needed. My heart had healed because of him and I intended to keep it beating just for Gideon.
