Gray pulled me into his arms. “You did this for me too? This is your ghosts of Christmas future, isn’t it?”

“Your Christmases haven’t been filled with the love of friends and family. Mine really haven’t either. This is what I want for us. I’ll never be lonely as long as we’re together and I’m content to spend every day, holiday or not with you. Having our friends here makes it that much more special though, don’t you think?”

“It does.” Gray kissed me, lingering long enough to warm me from the inside out for him.

“Are you still feeling scrooged?”

“No, my love. I’m as happy as an angel. Now let’s go say hello to our family.”

Phew.

“Then later,” he whispered in my ear before we made for the group, “we’ll get out your Christmas toys and celebrate all over again.”

God, I loved Christmas.

I loved Gray even more.
