“The brand deal isn’t the only thing that happenedtoday.”

I freeze amid smelling the roses, asking, “Whatelse?”

“Well, my sports agent is in talk with themanagers at the national soccer team. He says things are looking hopeful. ThatI should make myself available for a meeting next week.”

“Seriously?” I sputter, ever happy that he’saccomplishing his goals, just as he shares in my excitement when I achievemine. “Oh my gosh. That’s wonderful news!” I tip for a big smooch. “I’m soexcited for you.”

“Don’t start celebrating just yet, though. Rightnow, it’s all talks. So anything could happen.”

“You’ll make the team,” I assure him firmly. “Youwill.”

He shakes his head in wonder. “My forevercheerleader.”

I giggle. “Damn right.”

Taking the roses from my hand, he sets them on thesofa and grips me at the waist. “So, I practiced this morning, which left meexhausted, and then I got the good news about the brand deal.” A sly expressionforms. “How about treating your husband to a nice and slow ride?”

I bite my lip and run my finger across his firmchest. “Beg me.”

“Beg you?” He growls and narrows his eyes to darkslits. “I’m going to put another baby in you is what I’m going to do. Our sonneeds a sibling.”

“Perhaps there’s one on the way.”

My statement gives him a pause, and his gray eyesspark with joy. “Seriously? You’re…”

I nod. “I took a test before you came.”

“Jordyn,” he murmurs and crushes my mouth for ahungry kiss.

Giggles burst out of me as he hoists me from thefloor and throws me over his shoulder, giving me a firm slap on my ass. “Let’scelebrate.” Our excitement rings through the house as he quickens to ourbedroom.
