He had just dashed her hopes of going back home and not being on Zolar’s radar. If she dumped this magical bracelet, then she was screwed. That prick of a god would find her in less than a day. Of that, she had no doubt.

CHAPTER12

Zander had hardly gotten back to his room after delivering the latest artifact to his brother and sister-in-law when Orien blew in like a tropical storm.

“What the fuck?” Orien slammed Zander’s door behind him.

“What is your problem?” he snarled back.

“You seemed to have left out a tiny detail about the doctor.” His brother rolled his fingers in a fist and looked as if he was ready to pummel Zander.

“What detail might that have been?”

“That she is Lomara,” he snarled.

“Lomara is dead, but I can understand that you might still grieve for her.”

“You know full fucking well what I speak of. Some way. Somehow, that is my Lomara come back to me. Did you know this when you bonded with her? Please tell me you discovered it after.”

His anger at this conversation, and the fact his brother referred to the doctor ashis, fueled Zander’s own emotions until he was ready to blow his top. “I knew nothing of it then, nor do I now.”

“You dare to fucking lie to me? Still? I know you and Lomara fell in love. Did you think I was blind to all of it? I also caught a peek at what you saw in the ruins. There was something there that confirmed what you already suspected.” Orien stormed closer. “You will not take her from me,brother. She is my betrothed.”

By this time, Zander was now in his brother’s face. “We no longer live in those times. It’s best you learn that now.”

Orien grabbed Zander by the throat and lifted him off the ground when the door burst open in a scatter of splintered wood and the most powerful demon in Atlantis stormed inside the room, followed by an also angry queen.

“What the fucking hell is going on here? Orien, you will release Zander at once.”

“As you wish.” He dropped Zander back to his feet.

“Well? I suggest you two start explaining and fast, otherwise I’m going to kick your asses from here into the next century. I will not abide fighting between you or any other here.”

Orien looked at him, brow raised. “You didn’t tell them either?”

Zander snarled. “I have not had a chance to tell anyone.”

Greydon folded his arms over his chest. “Start talking.”

“I’m pretty sure the doctor is Lomara reincarnated.”

Confusion clouded Aimee’s eyes as she looked between the three of them, but it was Greydon who spoke.

“Why do you think this?”

“There was an etching in one of the ruins I found her in. Again, she was pulled to the place just like before. It read, when Oshivana wakens, a young prince will regain what he once lost. A baby will be reborn until she is found, and, in these walls, the two shall reunite.”

He glanced at everyone in the room. “She was standing right next to me, and it was then I realized why I have had such a need to protect her instead of ending her life as I had planned originally.”

Greydon scratched at his jaw, and Orien appeared defeated but quickly masked his features. Aimee was the only one smiling.

“Sheila is the reincarnated Lomara?” she asked.

“I think the answer might be yes, but I wish to see this carving with my own eyes. I have already sent Fang and a few men of his choosing to make sure the site is secure. I expect them back soon,” Greydon said.

Aimee moved closer. “Does she know, Zander? Have you told Sheila what you suspect?”

“I have not. How do I tell her she is the reincarnation of my long-lost love and Orien’s betrothed?”
