She starts pulling off the white sheet she clearly stripped from her bed and made into a dress, and her shirt comes up in the process, exposing her trim waist. Just by getting a peek at her stomach, my mind wanders, wondering how soft her skin feels. I fantasize what it would be like to plant kisses across her hip.

I inhale deeply, blowing it out as I meet her gaze. “Maybe I am afraid.”

Her smile falters when she sees how I’m looking at her. She tucks a piece of blond hair behind her ear. “Afraid of what?”

“You.”

She sinks her teeth into her bottom lip before asking, “Why?”

“Because I don’t think straight when I’m around you. All I can think about is touching you, kissing you…” I pause to give her a slow once over. “Tasting you.”

“Oh,” she replies with a quivering breath. Her tongue slides across her bottom lip before she takes the few steps that bring her right to me. “I think about the same things.”
