“Go,” Garrett said.

“What about the vampires?” he asked, his voice low and quiet.

“We don’t know anything yet. When I know something, I’ll let you know. If I need you, I’ll call you back,” Garrett said patiently.

“What about your ceremony?” Liam asked. Emma laughed. He was like a little kid being told to wait before he could have his candy.

“Go,” Garrett said again. “Just stay in contact with me.”

“I will,” Liam said. He stepped back and looked at them both. “I guess I’m going back to high school,” he said with a big grin. He slapped Garrett one more time on the back, saluted Max, and tore out of there. Garrett and Emma watched him go.

“Does he have any idea where he’s going?” Emma asked, amused.

“Nope,” Garrett responded.

“What if he can’t find her?” she asked.

“He will,” Garrett said, sounding absolutely certain.

“How can you be so sure?” she asked, turning to him.

“Because I believe in the impossible. She’s the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen,” he said gazing at her with such emotion and love. “Just as you came to me, Liam’s mate will come to him. Fate wouldn’t have it any other way. Besides, he’s got the finder on his side.” With that, he put out his arm and she placed her hand on his arm. “You ready, beautiful?” he asked.

Emma smiled. “Yes.” For the first time in her life, she was surrounded by people that loved her. It felt good, really really good. She was excited about the future and all the possibilities it held.

The doors opened, and everybody’s heads turned towards them. Just before they started walking, Garrett bent his head next to her ear. “I do want to see you in that dress again later in our room where I can take my time peeling it off you,” he said in a growl. Emma could feel herself turn red. He chuckled a dark, sexy chuckle next to her as he began leading them forward to their future.
