“You okay, Kansas?”
After I grab a towel to dry my face, I turn around to look at him.
“Are you kidding me, Trust Fund? You have made this Christmas more amazing than anything I could have ever imagined. Our trip and now this? There is no way in the world I can ever show you what it means to me or how much I love you.”
He takes my face in his large hands. “Bullshit. You have been showing me that for years now. It was my turn.”
“But I should have done more for you. You did so…” my rambling is interrupted by his kiss.
“Stop. I have everything I need. I don’t need anything else.”
I look up at him into those beautiful blue eyes. “Well, how about tonight, after the kids go to sleep, I can be your present, and you can unwrap me all night long.”
With another soft kiss to my lips, he says, “Kansas, I think that’s the best Christmas gift you could ever give me.”
