It took a full minute for Rosalie to get ahold of herself, trembling against Kinsey, with her panties around her knees. She managed to push herself back off the wall eventually and fixed her bra, then her ruined panties, then her crumpled skirt. Kinsey didn’t help, rather she stood close and watched, her gaze both heated and amused. Rosalie narrowed her eyes as she buttoned up her shirt.
“You don’t have to be so smug,” she said and Kinsey laughed.
“Oh, but I am,” she said, her eyes lighting up.
“Do you want to get out of here?” Rosalie heard herself ask.
“You know,” said Kinsey. “I do.”
Chapter Six
Rosalie felt like she was walking on air as they escaped out into the night together. Her knees felt slightly wobbly and she felt a delicious ache lingering where Kinsey had thrust inside her, while her limbs felt like they could float away entirely.
“You look good this way,” Kinsey said, a hint of tease in her eyes as they walked down the sidewalk together.
“What way?”
“Relaxed,” she said, “slightly debauched. Sex hair.”
“What?” Rosalie reached up and found that was definitely an accurate descriptor for what was going on with her locks. Kinsey walked her backwards into a doorway and slipped her hands into her hair, her fingers gentle as she helped fix the mess. Somehow they were kissing again. “Mm,” she announced weakly as Kinsey drew back. Good lord, they were literally making out on the street.
“My place or yours?” Kinsey said, her voice seductive. Rosalie hesitated. She thought of her quiet sanctuary, her pajamas folded neatly under her pillow, Lemonade’s meow. Then she thought of something else.
“Do you have roommates?” she asked. Kinsey nodded.
“There’s seven of them,” she said. “It’s a real party house. But don’t worry, a few of them will probably be out.”
Rosalie swallowed. This was what she got, after all, for having sex with a twenty-six year old. Kinsey dissolved into laughter.
“Your face.” Kinsey’s eyes were sparkling with amusement. “I live alone, Rosalie. I like my space.”
“Oh thank god.” Rosalie sighed with relief and tried to give Kinsey a dirty look, but her still slightly high smile kept sneaking out everywhere. “So your place then.”
“I should have told you I lived with my parents,” Kinsey said as she guided them up a side street and Rosalie winced. Kinsey laughed again. “God,” Kinsey eyed her, “you’re so fucking cute when you’re uncomfortable.”
“Is that what that was?” Rosalie looked back, the streetlight gleaming off Kinsey’s gorgeous hair, her dark eyes glinting. “With the semi-public sex?”
Kinsey considered her, her teeth sinking into her lower lip just a little as they walked through the dark.
“It seemed to me like you enjoyed the hint of danger,” she said. “Sex with someone you thought you shouldn’t, somewhere you definitely shouldn’t. You’re an intriguing woman, Rosalie.”
“I’m usually very boring.” She had no idea why she was confessing this, not to someone so young and hot and obviously too cool for her.
“I think that’s a lie,” Kinsey said simply. “But whether to me or to yourself, I’m not sure.”
They walked in silence, something small coming alight in Rosalie’s chest. The cool air felt like a caress; the glow of the streetlights magical.
“God,” Kinsey continued after a minute, another smirk appearing on her lips. “I can’t believe Lane sent me off without even warning me how hot you are.”
Rosalie’s feet stopped moving almost without her realizing.
“Lane,” she said, her voice tight, “doesn’t think of me that way.”
“There is literally no way they haven’t crushed on you since they were a tiny little adorable person.” Kinsey raised her eyebrows looking thoroughly amused. “I would stake my life on it.”
A horrible thought crossed Rosalie’s mind.
“You know though, don’t you,” she said, “that you can’t tell Lane about this? It would be way, way too weird.”
