“Yes,” she mumbled into the bed, pushing back onto him. “Fast and hard.”

“Hold on, Meg.” And then he was thrusting in earnest, one palm flat against her back pushing her down, forcing her ass up higher, the other hand on her hip pulling her in as he thrust forward.

“Jackson!” She yelled loudly. “Do not stop.”

“Wasn’t planning to.” Then he reached one hand around and began to strum her clit, causing all sensation to converge into a sudden intense orgasm that left her breathless and overwhelmed.

The sex itself may have taken less than ten minutes, but she lost track of the time it took to recover. Laying on top of her, her face still buried on her bedspread, he finally spoke. “I’m smothering you.”

“It’s okay. Feels good, your weight on me.”

He pushed up and she turned over, watching him move off the bed. Reaching forward, she ran a finger down the raised scar on this thigh. “Does it hurt?”

“Not as much anymore. Sometimes, when it rains, or if I’m on it for too many hours, it acts up.” He pulled his jeans from his bag by her closet and slid them on.

“Good to know. I won’t take you mountain climbing in the rain as part of the five things, then.”

He laughed. “I can out-climb you any day, woman. I’m fine. Don’t start coddling me.”

“I was teasing you, Jax. I wasn’t going to coddle you and I absolutely wasn’t going to climb anything. That’s too much exertion for a girl who sneaks Nutella. I know you’re in great shape. I never doubted it.”

Pulling down his shirt, he held a hand out for her. “This conversation is too heavy for someone who has my come dripping down her leg.”

“You are so gross!” she shrieked, and pushed him back, laughing loudly. “I can’t believe you just said that to me.”

He winked as she gathered her clothes and went to dress for the second time that night.

“Ready to go? I’m driving,” she said, slipping on a long red wig.

He ran his palm down his face. “That should count as one of the five things, since you driving is an adventure in and of itself.”

“Har har. Fine. It’s a nice evening. Let’s take your bike. I’ll give you directions as you drive. Keep you surprised.”

She clicked the garage door open and Jax climbed on. “Up you go. Remember, hold on tight. Don’t let go for any reason.”

“This feels as good as I remember,” she said, pressing her cheek to his back.

“You liked it before? You never said anything.”

“Are you kidding? I’d just met you. What kinda girl says lovey-dovey shit like that on a first date? You would’ve run for the hills.”

He squeezed her knee and tilted his head back. “The same kind of girl who agrees to have lunch with a stranger and stays for four days and rocks my world so deeply I’ve done nothing but think about her for five years.” Then he turned back around, cranked up his bike and took off, leaving her completely disconcerted.

. . . Rock my world so deeply . . . She didn’t know hearts could actually skip a beat.

Jax parked in front of a familiar large dome as per Megan’s instructions, doing a quick surveillance of the area before getting off the bike. “The planetarium? That’s where you brought me?”

“Tonight’s the light show. Didn’t you do this when you were a teenager? Everyone in Miami came here to make out or get stoned. It’s a rite of passage.”

“Oh, I know exactly where we are. I’m just surprised you know it’s a rite of passage.”

“Fine. I’ve never been here. But I’ve always wanted to, and it’s Pink Floyd night. I wanted to come.”

“It’s almost like five things you haven’t done before.”

“What can I say, you give me the courage and motivation to try new things, even all these years later,” she said, taking his hand in hers and smiling up at him.
