"Enough to know that you have no money while you're here."

I straighten up. "They withdrew all my money by accessing my bank online. They must’ve found my details when they stole my stuff. I knew it was a bad idea to write down my log in details, but I was always forgetting them. I thought they were safe were I hid them.” I blow out a long breath. “Calvin’s going to contact the bank when they open in the morning, and he’s probably going to ask them to close the account." I shut my eyes for a moment as I drink more of my wine. I need, wine and a nice evening just watching movies. "Tomorrow night, would you like to have a movie and wine night?" I turn to Derek, with a smile.

"I'd love to, but it's date night before we go away for the next game. I’m sure Trey would be more than happy if I’m not there.”

“Not there for what?” Trey asks, and I turn to see him heading over to us.

"Wine and movie night tomorrow,” I say.

"Tell him," Derek whispers as he walks away from us.

"I can do movies, but I'll have to pass on the wine—the season has started and the rules have begun.” He sits next to me. "What did Calvin want to talk about?"

"Has Madison agreed?” I ask, wanting to know about that first.

"She has, and she's not happy about it,” he says, then his brows furrow. “She might actually hate you more, which I didn't think was possible.” He chuckles. "But I don't care because I love you." He leans down and gives me small kisses over and over again, making me laugh.

"I don't care either, because I love you, too." I stand, and make a move to go back into the house, but Trey pulls me back to sit down.

"What did Calvin want?"

I take a deep breath and tell him what my parents have done, and my idea of selling my place and starting somewhere new so that they don't know where I live. Now Calvin is about to close my accounts so I won't be able to use my card while I’m here, and how I'm thinking about going back to England to get this all sorted out.

Trey takes my hand in his. "Stay here until you go back to work. Use my card.” He presses a finger to my mouth when I attempt to refuse. “Look, I know how you feel about not taking my money, but I want you to. If it makes you feel better, when you sort out the bank, pay me back.”

I lean closer to him, I smile as I press my lips against his. "I love you so much."

"But there is one thing I want to talk about,” he says when I pull back. “If you’re buying a house, how about you move in with me instead? There’s no way that your parents can reach you here, and—"

"My job is in England,” I argue, “and moving in together is a big step, a huge step."

He faces me and take both my hands in his. “A step that I'm more than happy to take with you. If you speak to Dave about working, as I know you love your job, you can still fly as you do. The only difference is that your home will be here instead of England."

I search his face for a moment to see if he's joking about this, but he's deadly serious.

"Trey, Sky, Ma said to come inside and eat your food!” Tracy shouts from the house.

I turn back over at Trey who's waiting for an answer. "We should go in before your mom starts yelling at us.” I smile as he stands up, and walks toward the house with me.

"At least think about it, shorty."

"I will," I tell him as he opens the door for me to walk in. I make my way over to Trey's mum. "Would you like some help, Mrs. King?"

"Sky, please call me Crystal,” she says, handing me the reheated bowl of potatoes.

"I just want to say thank you for giving me a chance."

"Sky, as long as you keep my son happy, I'll always be happy." Crystal looks over at Trey, Derek, and Tracy sitting and talking. I watch them laughing about something, and can't help but smile at them. "Welcome to the family, Sky,” Crystal tells me as she walks over to the table.

When I bring the bowl of potatoes over to the table, Trey pulls me to sit on the chair next to him, making me giggle as his hand tickles my sides.

Madison had left, but the whole evening was so much fun. There were laughs, and conversations that had me giggling even harder to the point I was crying with laughter. Trey was happy that his family are good with me now, and I'm so glad that I get to see what his family’s really like. I can't wait to have more family meals with them, as they’re amazing, supportive, and lovely people.

Chapter 23

Trey

I have no idea where the two weeks with Sky went. She came to every game I had at that time, and everything was perfect. Madison told the press what really happened; she hasn't spoken to me since that day, but for me, I'm just happy that Sky’s happy.
