“Shut up, what do you want? You wanted to talk about Finn, what has this got to do with Trey?” I ask, wanting him to get off my phone sooner rather than later.
“Oh, I’m sorry,” he says, his tone the complete opposite of an apology. “Was I interrupting something?”
"Calvin, I'll come over to your house just to punch you," I warn him, and Trey lets out a small laugh.
"Fine, fine, fine, you need to get laid. Trey, where are you in two weeks?”
Trey looks at me, and I shrug my shoulders. “Training will start soon, so I’m meeting with the team. I’m thinking another pool party, not really sure yet.” Trey looks through his phone, showing me a picture. “Can I post this?” I take the phone from him to see what he wants to post on Instagram.
A picture of breakfast, saying, ‘My girl made the best brekkie’. I don’t answer him just yet because I don’t really want Calvin to hear this.
“Why are you asking?” I ask Calvin.
“After Seattle, I’ve booked us two weeks off, and we're staying in America,” he says. “I wanted to know if he’d like to join us.” I roll my eyes again because I’d already told him I wanted to stay at home.
"Yeah, I'm in,” Trey replies. “Every second I can spend with Sky before the season starts, the better.” He leans over to give me a kiss on the side of my head. Trey’s phone vibrates in my hand, and I give it back. “Derek wants to know if he can come over and bring all our stuff with him.”
I shrug a shoulder. “Sure. Calvin, is there anything else you want?”
“Yes. Finn. What do you think?”
“You’re the one that has to date him, and you would be crazy to say no. Have you seen that face? I’m—”
“Yeah, yeah, I already know he’s too good looking for me, s—”
“But you know that I only want you to be happy,” I cut in, “and he made you happy. Plus, he’s lucky to have you. I said he’s too good looking to be gay, not too good looking for you.” I never said that at all. "You said he'll be on the flight to Seattle. Will he be staying?” I liked Finn. He and Calvin never had a fight, they looked perfect for each other, it was just work that got in the way.
“Yeah, so it'll be three weeks and I wanted to make sure that it’s okay with you.”
“Yes, it is, and I'll see you tomorrow morning.”
"Thanks, Sky, see you tomorrow.”
Ending the call, I look through my emails to see what has come through now that Calvin has booked me some time off. I want to see how long have.
“So, my post, and can I follow you?” Trey asks.
"Do you not want to wait a little bit until you tell your…” I take his phone to look at the screen, "twenty-one million followers?” I say in shock. That's a lot of people in the world to know he's dating someone. “And-and-and… Something." I'm starting to panic. "You have to tell your family."
“Shorty, relax. I won’t post it, okay? How about we date for more than an hour before I tell the world that King is off the market.” Leaning closer to me, he pushes my legs apart as he moves up my body, massaging the side of my waist as he slips his hand under my tank top.
"How about we just not tell anyone for longer? At least see if we survive the season,” I say, as his hands move over my body gently. “Calvin said something about you being on the road all the time,"
He dips his head, his lips touch the soft spot on my neck, and I take in the light, clean scent of whatever cologne he's wearing.
“I think you’re overthinking things. Just relax. I think you should just let things happen.” Trey tells me as his lips brush over mine. “What happened to enjoying life, having fun?”
The second his lips touch my skin, my body tingles all over. "You know when you're ready…" I gasp a little and my body arches into his. "Share away, just keep my face out of it, please,” I say.
“But it’s your face that I like so much, but I also like the taste of these lips.” Trey’s face moves closer to mine, and he takes my bottom lips in his. I moan with please when he gently bites down, letting him know that I like it.
“Tr-ey, not my face.”
“Not your face, not until you say so.” There’s a bang on the door, startling us, and he quickly kisses me once more. “Shorty, whatever the reason is for this no picture thing, I just want you to know that—”
“Trey, let your friend in,” I cut in. “And I don’t talk about this again please.”
Trey searches my face for a moment to see if there’s an answer there, but there isn’t.
