“What happened, Sara?” Andras whispered the words like a soft caress.

I shook my head, and my eyes burned, tears threatening to spill over. “I don’t know. Dev was…wild. His eyes were full of hate and pain. He’s never fucked me like that.”

Ty’s growl rumbled through me as he stormed out of the room, most likely to find their brother and beat the fuck out of him. Levi’s body was rigid, his eyes dark, and I swear his skin was sizzling as he snarled. Andras stood and turned to him, his tone sharp.

“Levi. Sara needs you. Take her to her room, now.”

Levi blinked several times and sighed, his eyes full of pain as he looked down at me. His arms slid under my knees, and he lifted me gently from the floor. “She’s bleeding.”

“He bit me pretty hard,” I whispered, nuzzling into Levi’s warmth. “Something was wrong, he was different. So angry and sad.”

“Ty will find him, Sara,” Levi murmured as he carried me down the hall and away from the party below. Andras followed behind us quietly.

“Don’t hurt him. He’s already hurting. I think he was punishing himself. We need to find him. I think he might do something stupid.”

Levi snarled. “He already has.”

I shook my head, tucking it under Levi’s chin. “No. Something very, very bad.”

“We will bring him home,” Andras murmured. “Tabitha.”

I looked up at Andras, remembering I could no longer hear the others.

Andras frowned, listening to whatever Tibby had to say. “Typhon, find him. Bring him back.”

“Where is he?” I demanded, my voice finally returning to something close to normal. I needed to talk to Dev. He was hurting, and I knew I wasn’t truly the cause of that pain. My spidey senses were tingling, but I just couldn’t see what the missing link was.

Andras moved in front of Levi to type in the key code for my room and held the door open as he walked toward my bed. Levi sat on the edge, keeping me locked in his arms. His skin radiated heat, and it felt divine against my bare skin.

Andras cracked his neck and brushed his fingers along my cheek. “I need to return to the party. Certain people have arrived, and it is important I speak with them. We’ll find Devon. Leviathan will stay with you.”

I squirmed in Levi’s arms, but his muscles wouldn’t budge an inch. “I’m fine, really. It was just a little jarring.”

“Levi is staying because he needs you, angel,” Andras stated as he walked to the door, closing it gently behind him.

I turned to Levi, searching his deep-blue gaze. “What’s wrong with you?”

Levi shrugged with a smile that didn’t reach his eyes. “I have a temper. Having you in my arms reminds me to keep my cool.”

“Nothing wrong with being a little feisty.” I smiled, flicking his nose.

He laughed, his chest rumbling. “When I get angry, people and places tend to burn down.”

“Is that why you’re a firefighter?” I asked curiously.

Levi stood, carrying me into the bathroom. “Partly.”

He was clearly leaving out parts of this story, but I decided to leave it for now. I knew these guys had secrets, my snooping with Tibby hadn’t uncovered anything about him starting fires, though.

Levi released me to stand on my own and walked to the massive zero entry shower, turning on the hot water. I dropped the torn up dress to the ground and stepped inside, turning to see Levi undressing as well.

My mouth lifted in a hopeful smile. “Going to join me?”

He grinned, his eyes glinting with mischief. “As if I could resist, mi diosa.”

I let my gaze roam his massive, muscular body and the intricate tattoos. Levi definitely didn’t skip leg day. I licked my lips, eyeing the thick, swelling cock between his legs. “Get in here, hot stuff.”

He laughed, and the smile touched his eyes this time. “I like that one.”
