I wasn’t sure where he was taking me. When we pulled into the cove, my anxiety sparked. Once we parked, we hopped out, walking towards the back of the truck; climbing in the back.
I’m not sure how long we have been sitting here. It’s dark outside, but I can see the city lights down below us, and the stars floating above us in the sky.
Looking over at Cade, I see him looking down at the city lights. He is hot as fuck and I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t attracted to him. Maybe Jo is right. That I need to take the leap.
“Cade.” He looks over at me. “Why did you bring me here?”
“You don’t like it?” He asks.
“Of course, I do. It’s beautiful.”
He leans over towards me. Studying my face, like he is seeing me for the first time. My stomach is doing this weird fluttering. The moonlight shines off his face, making him look angelic in a way. I know he is far from an angel, but in this moment, I want him to save me.
He grips my chin, keeping his eyes locked on mine. He leans in, capturing my lips with his, kissing him back. Our mouths mold together as my lips part, giving him more access. Tasting mint as his tongue collides with mine before he pulls back.
“I need you to trust me. To know that I will never hurt you again. That I’ll never allow another person to hurt you again.” He states.
Opening my mouth to speak, nothing comes out.
“You were always meant to be mine, Little Poison. To be a part of my family.” He runs his hand along my throat. His touch is warm, gentle in a way.
“I’m scared.” I say, looking into his blue eyes.
“I know, but I promise I can make it better.” He smirks.
When our lips lock again, it’s like everything around us fades away, and all the sound dies down. Cade leans forward, his body on top of mine. In this moment, I feel safe, protected, and that’s when I know tonight will be the night. He pulls back again, looking down at me.
“You’re so beautiful.” My heart feels like it’s bursting open.
What if he is just lying to me?
Tears form in my eyes. I really am falling for them all, but I’m still so scared. I don’t want to be hurt again. Jo says, everyone gets hurt in their life, but it shouldn’t stop you from still living.
“Are you okay?” He has that look in his eyes, like my dad had when he looked at my mom.
“Yes.” It comes out shaky.
“I want to try something. You’ve got to trust me. “ He says with that stupid smirk that I’ve grown to laugh at.
“Okay, I’ll try, but I swear if you hurt me Cade, I’ll tell Stone to fuck you so hard that you can’t walk.” I narrow my eyes when he lets out a chuckle.
“Oh, little poison, does the thought of me taking dick turn you on?” He smiles.
I bite my lower lip as I think back on that day.
It does turn me on watching them.
“Yes,” I say breathlessly.
His hand slides up my dress, before I feel his fingers circling my clit, causing me to raise up.
