“What is she doing? She looks like a fucking penguin.” Harlan says, with a grossed out face,
Walking into what appears to be her bedroom, we notice she did exactly what we asked. I nod towards the body lying there. “Grab him and let’s go.”
“What about me?” Macy whines.
Zin walks over and whispers something into her ear, causing her to pale. She looks up at him as he pulls away from her.
“No, that’s okay. Another night then.” She says, looking over at me with a pleading look.
“I’ll hold you to that.” He says, walking toward the door, turning around. “Macy.” He says with a menacing smile, walking out.
“Cade, please don’t ever leave him with me.” She pleads.
“Why, he would never do anything you wouldn’t enjoy.” I say, turning and following my brothers out.
Tossing the body in the trunk and closing it. Stone turns around and says, “Let’s drop his ass off and get back to the house.”
“Someone is excited to see his little girlfriend,” Zin says.
“Shit, I wouldn’t mind having her tied up in my bed.” He responds.
Climbing in the car, we head to drop this motherfucker off so we can play with him later. Ten minutes later, we pulled up to the barn. Dragging his ass inside, we get him chained up. As we walk to the car, Harlan stops us.
“Wait. I have an idea. I’ll meet you at the car.” He walks back into the warehouse. Coming out with a huge grin on his face fifteen minutes later.
“What did you just do?” I ask, already feeling a headache coming.
“Nothing. Let’s go.” He says, climbing in.
I swear he will be the death of me. Hell at this point, they all will. We pull into the driveway, climbing out of the car. As soon as we walk through the door, we hear a high pitched scream that could only be Lux. Taking off for the stairs, heading toward her room. I grab the handle and swing open her door.
What the fuck!
Chapter Twenty-Four
ALUXIS
With the blankets pulled over my head, I can’t stop the screaming. Who the fuck is that? I hear my door swing open and footsteps walking over towards me. Gripping the blankets tighter, I pray whoever it is doesn’t hurt me.
“Little Poison.” I know that voice. “What’s wrong?”
Cade pulls the covers down, locking eyes with me before I turn my head to look around the room. I see the guys standing there.
“You didn’t see them?” I ask, still confused. Where did they go? I know I saw them.
“Who?” Atti asks.
“I woke up and there was someone standing there.” I point towards the end of the bed, where the guys are standing. “Maybe you scared them away.”
“Unlikely. We have cameras around the house. It was only you in here,” Zin says, with a bored
expression on his face. He always comes off as an asshole with his condescending tone.
He is such a fucking dick.
“Are you sure?” I ask. Wait, did he say, “Cameras! Like you have one in here?” I look around the room, searching for evidence of any cameras.
“Why? It’s not like you have anything we haven’t seen before.” Zin smirks. I want to punch the smug ass look off his face.
