"You know that the new generations don't leave their parent's houses until their thirties or forties, right?"

"That's why we paid this free and clear. Do you not want to start a family?"

"More than anything else. I had just hoped to have you to myself for a little while longer."

"Well, it won't be immediate, so enjoy the next few months as much as you can. I love you, Murphy. Too bad there's no bed to start our family right now."

"I love you, Gemma. Looks like our realtor was big on surprises."

"What do you mean?"

He grabs me by the hand and drags me upstairs to the main bedroom, which is completely furnished and has rose petals thrown on the bed. There are also some chocolate-covered strawberries on one of the tables.

“We can stay the night. I packed a bag for you this morning.”

“Oh, Murphy, you had this planned all along. This is fantastic."

Hugging him tightly, I breathe in his delicious masculine scent. The past five years have passed in a blur of love, affection, and absolute happiness. Murphy has thrived as a consultant for the FBI, and I am so proud of him I could burst. There have been rough patches, but we communicate and are transparent with each other and always get through them.

I would never have thought I'd find happiness on a trip to Las Vegas, but I'm glad to be proven wrong. This is the type of love that lasts for a lifetime.
