We get comfortable as she searches for the first episode. “You’ve got to be kidding me!” she nearly howls.
“What?” Rylee asks as the rest of us glance at the screen to see what’s wrong. It’s one of Declan’s movies. Mia must have accidentally typed in the wrong letter.
“Why the heck is he everywhere I go?” she demands. “It’s like he’s haunting me.”
Mason lifts a brow. “Maybe it’s a sign.”
“What kind of sign?”
Rylee gives her a teasing smile. “Maybe you guys will work on another movie together.”
A look of horror crosses over her face. “Heaven forbid!”
I laugh. “Would it be the end of the world, Mia?”
“Yes!”
Kade’s brows furrow. “Is that guy really so terrible?”
Mia crosses her arms over her chest with a humph. “Yes. Can we please not talk about him?” She shivers in disgust, then searches for the correct TV show.
Kade and I are snuggled in each other’s arms as we focus on the show. Well, I guess we’re not really focusing. None of us are. Rylee and Mason are staring at each other with love. Kade and I keep brushing our lips together.
And Mia is still seething.
Her phone beeps, and when she checks it out, she screeches in anger. “Oh my gosh! I don’t care if that jerk is having a party tomorrow!” She tosses her phone away. “So much for him not popping up on my feed.”
“Mia, calm down,” I tell her with a giggle.
“If I have to see his face one more time, I’ll lose my sanity. I hope Rylee is wrong and I’ll never work on a project with him ever again.”
