Chapter 6
-Jared-
I sat in silence, attentively listening to Alison recounting the entire story. It was undeniably intriguing, but could it be trusted? Vince had this place under constant surveillance, leaving us with no privacy. None of us could go to the bathroom without him being notified. It was hard to fathom that someone had managed to sneak into my bedroom, free Alison from her restraints, and then presented her with a single opportunity to escape. Even if it were true, Alison was the fool for taking the bait. The safest course of action for her was to remain here. She had been seen with me, and this lifestyle seldom led to genuine friendships. Given the events of tonight at the harbor, it was unwise for her to venture out on her own. In the end, whether I believed her or not was inconsequential. She had chosen to flee regardless.
“You don’t believe me,” she sighed and looked away, shaking her head, and her beautiful, long golden hair cascaded aroundher. That’s when I finally noticed Alison had taken one of my shirts. Great, another garment I had to burn, I sighed internally.
“Take off my shirt,” I ordered, not wanting to see it on her anymore, and she did as she was told, but not without glaring at me.
She casually discarded the item. Then she removed her cap and began reaching for the button on her pants, but I intervened, raising my hand to halt her. My reluctance had nothing to do with a lack of desire to see her naked. It was simply unbearable to witness her wearing my shirt. Alison gazed at me with a hint of confusion but remained frozen in her current position.
I took a few moments to collect my thoughts. Tonight required a carefully calculated approach. I had been on the brink of revealing all of Alison's secrets. I had hovered over the button, ready to ignite the fire. However, Vince had given me a choice: either let her escape or retrieve her. He genuinely believed she wouldn't return now that she was free. But I knew better. Alison wasn't foolish. She had come back. Although I still held the power to ruin her life, having her in front of me awakened a darker impulse—a desire to see her suffer, to hear her cries, and to have her beg me to cease whatever torment I would subject her to.
It was an obsession, but not an obsession with Alison herself. It was a sick satisfaction deep in my chest, derived from having absolute control. That was my true craving, not those sweet, pink lips currently trapped between her teeth or the feeling of her tongue tracing the blood on my chest…
Focus,I commanded myself as I contemplated the approach that I intended to take tonight. Alison had returned to me, and she had displayed a remarkable degree of compliance as she lowered herself to her knees, prepared to disrobe. She was learning fast, and I knew she anticipated a severe punishmenttonight. After all, she had asked me to choose between the 'whip' or the 'belt'. While the thought of my belt turning her ass and thighs a deep crimson was enticing, it wouldn't teach Alison anything. She expected it, mentally preparing herself for my attack. To conquer this serpent queen, I needed to catch her off guard.
“All right, proceed with undressing,” I ordered, and she took on a confused expression. “Are you questioning my orders, slave?”
She shook her head and quickly stripped before resuming her position. “Do you believe me?” she whispered.
“What does that matter? I will still punish you because you left.”
“But I was going to be killed!” she exclaimed.
“He told you to run. Doesn’t sound like killing to me.”
“He told me I had one chance. I took it!” she reminded me.
“Maybe you were imagining things,” I taunted her.
“You think I would imagine a whole person in this room threatening me and calling me ‘little dove’?”
“Calling you what?”
“Is that really the part that concerns you? What they called me? Not the fact that they threatened me?” she questioned.
“Little dove… Sounds like they might know you. Why else would they give you such a pretty little nickname?” I mocked.
Alison’s mouth fell open, and she looked up at me with an incredulous expression.
“You actually think I imagined all of this?” she whispered.
“No one can get inside, Alison. Whether you imagined that person or if it is just a well-crafted lie to cover up that tonight you saw an opportunity, I don’t know,” I answered.
“But you could destroy me if I ran!” she exclaimed. “Why would I be so stupid?”
“Maybe you weren’t planning to run. Maybe you were out meeting with someone.”
“Who? My husband? He is in Germany because of you!”
“Maybe you have other lovers.”
“You have kept an eye on me for years, you know I am married to my work,” she snarled, and I knew she was correct. If there was one thing Alison was loyal to, it was keeping her perfect image intact and not taking any unnecessary risks. She wouldn’t go out to meet other men for a few seconds of pleasure when it could rip her life apart. “So why would I run if not because I was terrified?”
“I don’t know, but it doesn’t change the fact that you disobeyed me tonight. I told you to wait for me right by the bed, and you didn’t follow my orders.”
“Yes, because I thought this might be a repeat of what happened in your house!” she yelled.
