I shook my head, forcing the image from my thoughts, and began turning to leave the water via the pool’s steps.
“Enough for one day.”
“We haven’t done anything!” she protested, following me and taking hold of my hand.
I turned to face her, and she offered a small smile.
“Just stay a little longer,” she urged.
“Why?”
“You need to get used to it.”
I sighed, knowing she was right, but the water seemed to stir up memories I couldn’t quite grasp. What was happening to me? However, my thoughts were interrupted as I noticed Alison guiding me further into the water. When we were farther out than before, she wrapped her arms around me, pressing her wet body against mine, helping to alleviate my fear.
“It’s just water,” she whispered, her lips tantalizingly close to mine. “It can’t hurt you.”
With her pressing against me like that, it was difficult to resist the temptation. I reciprocated by encircling her in my arms and kissing her passionately. She moaned against my lips, and I hoisted her up, her legs encircling my waist. We made our way to the edge of the pool, where I pressed her against it.
“This isn’t swimming,” she panted as my hand ventured between her legs, teasing her.
“I prefer this version,” I growled.
I withdrew my hand, lifting her out of the water and positioning her at the edge. She spread her legs wide, and I lowered myself, tasting her salty, wet skin. She let out a scream, her fingers tangling in my hair as she pulled me closer.
“This wasn’t the lesson I had in mind,” she whimpered.
“No, it’s better,” I groaned against her skin, intensifying my efforts and bringing her to climax.
She cried out my name, her hips grinding against me. Suddenly, the water didn’t seem as intimidating anymore. As she slowly descended from her high, I placed my hands on the pool’s edge beside her, lifting myself out of the water and leaning over her. She reclined on the poolside, and I wrapped her legs around me, positioning myself before entering her. When she had undressed earlier, I should have known that any attempts at swimming lessons were doomed from the start.
Chapter 45
-Alison-
I awoke in the middle of the night, disturbed by an unusual chill in the air. Opening my eyes, I realized that Jared was not beside me. Anxiety washed over me, and I slowly sat up, scanning the dimly lit bedroom. Jared was nowhere to be found, and a sense of dread gripped my heart. I reached for the cane I had hidden beneath the bed. Jared was unaware of its hiding place, but I wasn’t taking any chances. After two previous attacks, I wasn’t about to become a victim again. If Jared had planned some kind of game for our last day together, he was going to feel the consequences once more. I knew where he was vulnerable, and I would exploit it if necessary.
Silently, I crept toward the bedroom door, which was slightly ajar. Jared usually kept it closed when he slept, so I sensed that something was amiss. I hid behind the door, cautiously peeking into the hallway. Faint lights emanated from downstairs, and my heart raced. Who had entered the house? Were theyacquaintances of Jared’s or potential attackers? Clutching the cane tightly, I was about to leave the room when I heard someone approaching. I quickly hid behind the door again and realized that the lights were being turned off, plunging the entire house into darkness.
I held my breath, straining to hear the intruder drawing nearer. This time, I refused to let fear consume me. As the footsteps grew closer, I mustered the courage to rip the door open, raising the cane high, and hurled it toward the approaching figure. A hand shot out to intercept the cane, and I knew it had to hurt, given the force with which I had swung it. To my surprise, the intruder wasn’t an attacker or even a masked Jared. It was simply Jared, holding a bottle of water in one hand and wearing a look of bewilderment as he glanced from the cane to me.
“What the hell are you doing?” he asked, taking the cane from my grasp.
“I...” I struggled to find words, acutely aware that Jared was far from pleased with me.
“I thought you had returned this to the playroom.”
“I obviously didn’t,” I retorted, and he shook his head. “What were you doing?”
He held up his water. “I was thirsty.”
“Oh… I thought maybe someone had broken in,” I explained hesitantly.
“Don’t worry. No one will. Besides, it’s your last day, right?” he pointed out. I glanced behind me and saw that the clock on the nightstand indicated it was past one in the middle of the night.
“Right,” I whispered before following Jared as he headed toward the playroom.
I kept close to him, feeling safer in his presence, especially in the darkness. He glanced over his shoulder, noticing me behind him but not ordering me to stay back. We reached the playroom, and I clung tightly to my little robe, knowing that today marked the end of my time here. I wondered how Jared would treat me today. Would I continue to play his wife, or would we revert to our previous roles as master and slave, or perhaps just Jared and Alison?
