Catering a fancy reception for a visiting princess is a great opportunity for my catering business. Until disaster strikes. The oven breaks, I have to fire two of my best servers for getting into a fight, and when I finally finish for the night I find an unexpected surprise in the back of my van – a real life princess. But my life is no fairy tale, and when she somehow suckers me into letting her stay at my house, things get even weirder.

I’ve spent my life acting the way I’m supposed to act and putting the needs of my country ahead of my own, but when I find out the cocktail party in Seattle is actually a surprise engagement party for me and some low level royal I’m done. I escape to the alley and stow away in a catering van, desperate to get away. The only problem is that the more time I spend with my rescuer, the more I’m focused on moving towards what I want instead of trying to get away from it. And what I want is Carrie.

It’s time for the spoiled princess to figure out how to live in the real world, but when duty comes calling, she’ll be forced to choose between her homeland and the woman who feels like home.
